Zeno's paradox as it applies to copy preparation

I'm working on a paper from the eleventh circle of hell (yes, "this one goes to eleven"). I've been millimetres away from finishing the author queries since the middle of last week. But the wretched thing keeps producing more mess for me to deal with. There's a mess generator embedded in the file, I'm thinking.

I shall never get it off my desk. Never. I'm doomed. Doomed!
