There is a positive correlation between Days On Which I Write and Days On Which I Feel Good. Yesterday, for instance, I didn't write a word and felt miserable come bedtime ([livejournal.com profile] niallm had to listen to the whole sorry lump of it, for which I remain sheepishly grateful). Today, in sharp contrast, I rattled out a thousand words after dinner, and feel on top of the world.

Word count as of tonight: 72,571. We're nearly at the bit where the heroine discovers her boyfriend's secret.

I now know the main way in which the revolutionaries convey information around the country, all of the reasons why the heroine's mother was reluctant to let her dream on the night the king's progress arrived in the village (not just the obvious ones), and quite a bit about the precise nature of the abilities possessed by the Baby Of Unusual Powers. Go me. Must sign up one of these days...
