Everybody else is doing it...
Mar. 4th, 2004 12:44 amI always take great encouragement from the writing projects (whether literary or academic) of my friends. Your successes spur me on to new endeavours.
My aim in life is as follows: for the month of March, to write 500 words each day. (Or, to be more precise, to reach the next 500-word milestone before stopping.) This should, I estimate, get me as near as makes no difference to the end of my novel draft (begun on 1 November 1999, which is altogether too long ago). And then I swear I will be the happiest Radzer in the known universe. Bar none.
Furthermore, I've decided to post my word count here so that you can (as the situation warrants) cheer from the etheric sidelines or castigate me for failing to live up to my eminently modest goal. Or you can just stay quiet. I won't mind :-)
Thus, as of tonight: 76,518
[Meanwhile, the Countdown of Joy shows a mere 26 days until the smoking ban comes into effect.]
