What I did on my holidays

I wasn't on any holidays. I just inadvertently took a nine-day - nine-day - break from both of my journals. How did that happen? Some time last weekend (not the one just gone by) I became overwhelmed by the Web, felt panicky when I thought of going near it - all that information, all those people industriously tapping, trapping me in a net of stories, words, words as far as the eye can see, no air, no light. Nothing.

So I stayed away. I hope you don't mind.

In addition, work has gone somewhat insane, I'm having major novel bumps, a friend and I had to sort out some fairly serious personal stuff, my church choir had an extra service on Wednesday and a new mass to learn for yesterday, and my chamber choir is deep in the throes of preparing for concerts this Friday and Saturday, so I suppose it's not that surprising that I'm feeling a little stretched...
