Random Thursday witterings
Jan. 29th, 2004 11:42 am1. I aten't dead.
2. An inordinate proportion of the work being done on the Luas* around Stephen's Green and Harcourt Street seems to involve slicing, smashing and generally digging up surfaces that were laid mere months ago. Surely this can't be helping?
3. It turns out that I have tendonitis in my right arm. As in tennis elbow. Which is disconcerting, as I haven't played tennis in almost a year. I'm to rest the arm as much as possible. Typing with one hand gets old very quickly. Also, I keep reaching for the mouse to the right of my keyboard, even though it's in plain view on the left. I run on rails, you see.
4. I'm once again ridiculously behind in my LJ reading, so if you would particularly like to get in touch with me, probably best to e-mail.
5. January's almost over! Woohoo!
* Note for those happy souls who remain blissfully ignorant of current developments in Dublin's public transport system (if you can call it that): the Luas is a light rail network the construction of which has for some years now made vehicular travel around the city centre and selected suburbs a seemingly infinite torture. It'll be fully operational in 2001. I'm sorry, I'll read that again... (The word "luas", incidentally, is the Irish for "speed". Oh, the irony.)
