01. Total volume of music files on my computer?

Tiny. I've only just started encoding stuff.

02. The last CD I bought was?

The Oxfam Africa CD, for my sister's birthday.

03. Song playing right now:

Nothing. I find it very hard to mix two verbal things (e.g. music with lyrics while I'm writing, talk on the radio while I'm having a conversation). In my head, for what it's worth, it's still Divine Comedy's Absent Friends album, which has been firmly stuck in there for about a week. Current track is "Charmed Life". Interesting. I never thought about the fact that I have an earworm with lyrics spinning away almost constantly in my mind, and that doesn't seem to interfere with other verbal stuff the way external music does.

04. Five songs I listen to a lot or that mean a lot to me (in no particular order)

Leonard Cohen, pretty much anything, but let's say "One of Us Cannot Be Wrong"
Billy Bragg, "There Is Power in a Union", which makes me cry - I'm such a sucker for polemic
Pink Floyd, again, pretty much anything, but let's say "Sheep", for its revisitation of the 23rd Psalm
Throwing Muses, "Not Too Soon", for its fabulous curly riff
Elton John, "Someone Saved My Life Tonight", which is my earliest memory - probably from before I was one
