So, possibly for the first time this month, I'm up to date with my LJ reading! No longer will I lurch frantically after the rest of you, mumbling comments long after the posse has moved on.

Here (in no particular order) are some of the things I might have said if I'd been keeping up:

Happy birthday, [livejournal.com profile] gothwalk!

Happy birthday, [livejournal.com profile] stellanova!

Happy birthday, [livejournal.com profile] oddcellist!

Happy birthday, [livejournal.com profile] stephencass!

(What is it with you Virgos and my friends list?)

You awe me, [livejournal.com profile] ailbhe, with your book-cataloguing ways. I want to be just like you, but I'm a long way off yet. (Quake, however, [livejournal.com profile] niallm - the storm is brewing.)

I salivate, [livejournal.com profile] inannajones, at the sight of your new dress patterns. (Must must must take up sewing again.)

My fingers itch, [livejournal.com profile] hfnuala, when you tell about your knitting projects. (Must must must knit something soon. Maybe I'll do it in some of the acres and acres of free time I have.)

I said this in a comment, [livejournal.com profile] yiskah, but it deserves repeating: congratulations on moving into your new house! May it give you long years of shelf space and happiness.

As for [livejournal.com profile] glitzfrau, I'll see you in TWO DAYS - hooray! - so I can say all the stuff then :-)

And to anyone not mentioned by name here, *general waves and smiles*

There. Now I feel properly up to date :-)

Thank you! Our need for shelves is overwhelming - thank god for the DIY store opposite!

Indeed! We have become unhealthily familiar with Homebase and Woodies over the last 20 months.

Yes, I've turned into a DIY enthusiast (http://www.radegund.net/bkth/archive/2003/09/04.html). My desire to build customised storage units burns with an alarming heat. Let my fate be a warning to others!

Oh, I should not have clicked on your link, because I found myself saying 'ooh!' at the mention of under stairs storage units. Dear god. What is happening to me?

Thank you! I should mention (but don't tell anyone I told you this) that there's a plot afoot to take over certain channels of communication and make them all-Virgo, all the time. And so that may explain your friends list... we're starting small, you see, and working our way up to... well, big things. We don't know what quite yet.

I was beginning to suspect as much.
