Specially for
daegaer (because of course I am far too high-minded to find such things amusing), a little sliver of slashy potential from this afternoon's Irish Studies text:
"Most beautiful of boys is fond Donn Bó;
men speak of the sweetness of his lays;
he is the most splendid of the youths of Inis Fáil;
his lead brought out a host of tressed warriors."
(The source is Cath Almaine. King Fergal is mustering an army, and all the warriors say, "If Donn Bó goes, I'll go." I'm picturing Donn Bó sitting in his bedroom, writing "still the prettiest" in his very sekrit diary...)
