I'm afraid you appear to actually have a specimen of homo superior on your hands. Only the mutant ability to shapeshift can explain that much resemblance to both parents at once.

See (as I just remarked to Inanna), I have some difficulty seeing the resemblances. Unless I concentrate, he just looks like him. And the first time someone said he looked like me, I realised that it hadn't occurred to me that he might. Motherhood is weird.
