It's FRIDAY! I seem to have survived another week! Yay!

*****************

My baby is polyglot. He can say "water" in Spanish (agua), and "his voice" in Irish (a ghuth), and "happy" in French (heureux), and "the" (plural) in Maori (nga), and "gang" in English (unless he's speaking German). And presumably bvvvvthhhbvvvv means something in a language I don't know.

Ways to amuse him include singing LJ comments in the style of Baroque recitative.

[livejournal.com profile] glitzfrau is remarkably thoughtful. If she had not had the foresight to buy decent raingear (jacket and trousers) and then move to Berlin leaving said gear in my house, I would have been an infinitely wetter and more miserable Radzer this horrible, sodden winter week. I thank her.

I have a sneaking suspicion that you are/are going to be an amazing mother. Just saying.

How kind of La Glitz! Isn't she precious?

I suspect he might have a grasp of Japanese particles as well. Wa and ga? It seems most English speakers have difficulty with those two, so if he's starting now it can only be a very good thing.

Can he say ba? That seems to be something important in Tagalog: http://arabiatimes.tripod.com/tagalog.htm

Wa and ga are well under his belt. Ba seems to get mixed up with va, though, so Tagalog may elude him for a while.

I charge hire by the week. Very reasonably! And I can deliver bills in Baroque recit, if required.

Heh. Well, I'll just tot up five months' hire of one under-bed storage drawer and one bookshelf, then ... let's see ... *whistles tunelessly and scribbles with pencil on back of envelope*

Sounds like he's well on the way to saying 'Enegenanyallin', the Amharic for 'We'll meet again'.

Yes! He's learnt about "L" in the last few days, in fact, so that should be well within his capabilities.

Then he could learn the Amharic for "Don't know where, don't know when", "But I know", and "Some sunny day", and he'd be all set.
