I'd say rarr, only I can't use 'em any more since the RSI... grump grump groo. Instant flare-up. Now I feebly ask Rob to put up shelves and things. which means it never gets done. Grump grump groo.

What were you drilling?

Argh. That's 'orrible. Groo indeed.

I was drilling the lower strut of a row-of-spindles-style headboard, which the manufacturers had shipped without holes for the spindle bases to slot into. Felt gooooood! Also worked rather well, even though our broadest drill bit was nowhere near the diameter of the desired hole, so I had to do a lot of gouging and stirring. Unfortunately, it turned out not to be the bed's only shortcoming, so now it looks as though it won't be assembled tonight after all. Serves us right for choosing Argos's cheapest option, I suppose...

Round Ireland with a baba - The very end of June, and most of July. Dublin specifically - no real idea, though definitely for a wedding on the Saturday around 25th June (I think that's the Saturday, but it might be the 24th). Then on to Aran, to stay with my mother - Rob for two weeks, me and Linnea for four. *Definitely* no carseat this time as she's outgrown the portable size, so bus-dependent.

Meet Kathy - I want to know what you think of the thingie.

I put up two shelves in our kitchen yesterday for putting plants and teapots and things on. I'm exceedingly pleased with them.

I have to admit that my dad helped me with them though, he also made the brackets for them out of scrap wood, and I don't think I could have done that on my own.

The sense of achievement is something, all right! I'm having serious shelving fantasies these days - may have to act some of them out soonish :-)
