We're just back from a week in Kerry, which was beautiful as usual, although the weather was largely manky. I did get to fly a kite for the first time, which was lovely. Also, I got rather good at Sudoku and Crosaire (the Irish Times cryptic crossword). The experience would have been more restful, however, had the Oyster not taken to waking three or four times a night instead of just once or twice, and had [livejournal.com profile] niallm not contracted tonsillitis half way through the week. I haven't been so tired in a long time - and that's saying something.

It was a bit of an eventful week to have been away. I'll be catching up with yizzer posts slowly over the next little while, but for now I just hope you're all doing OK, particularly Londoners.

Sorry to hear that the holiday wasn't restful - if holidays aren't relaxing, what can you expect of the working week? I hope Niall's better - tonsilitis, what a Monster of an ailment!

A Monster indeed - and a Monster that appears to have taken up semi-permanent residence at our front gate. I've had two doses in the past six weeks, Oisín had it a couple of months ago, Niall had it a bit before that. And so on.

Yes, I really needed a holiday. And now I still do. But sooner or later he'll get the hang of the nights, and then - oh, then, there will be rejoicing. Feeble, wan, red-eyed rejoicing, perhaps, but rejoicing nonetheless.
